Early this Spring I went to the Leeds Royal Armoury, where I ended up taking lots of inspiring pictures of dioramas, weapons and various war paraphernalia.

Some of the most interesting were of 16^th century’s Spanish Conquerors.

They looked grim, menacing and straight to the point of the conquering business.

I couldn’t help imagining how they would have looked like if they eventually took over the planet and, eventually, the galaxy.

I planned to concept the entire set of soldiers of this futuristic army, while trying to keep the feel and look of their iconic armours and weapons.

As it happens I got distracted halfway trough the process by something shinier, so the few soldiers here are all I did.
